Puns.

Some hate them. Others love them. Regardless of your stance, however, you must admit that some are very, very good at them. Two of these star punners are sophomores Joseph McAuliffe and Kelsey Hanna, arguably the king and queen of the Skutt Catholic pun scene.

But which of them is the supreme leader of the pun realm? A three-round contest is held to deduce the answer.

In the first round, these two devise on-the-spot puns over a plethora of topics, from music to sea creatures.

Stakes are heightened in the second round as they generate a story or provide a series of puns around a common theme, continuing to rack up points.

Finally, in an epic pun-off that renters the first two rounds meaningless, they test each other’s wits with some colorful puns. From this final battle, a victor, a supreme pun king or queen, is determined once and for all.

Watch these talented punners use language to their advantage as they duke it out over the crown. Both have quick minds and clever wits, but, puntheless, there can only be one winner.

Who will rule the pun kingdom?
