Jan 8, 2019— Skutt Catholic girls basketball team defeats Roncalli 67-48.

The SkyHawks jumped to a lead of 19-10 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back outscoring the Crimson Pride in every quarter.

Skutt Catholic’s height advantage contributed to the win. This advantage led to Lindsay Krause pulling in 13 rebounds and Sydney McDermott posting a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The SkyHawks were lead by Cece Behrens who scored 18 points with Peyton Rohlfs pitching in 10.

Roncalli was lead by Abbey Schwarz who scored 20 points.  No other players scored in double figures.

Skutt Catholic improved its record to 9-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Roncalli’s overall record dropped to 6-5. The SkyHawks take on Blair next on January 10th at home.  The lady Skyhawks also were named the #1 seed for next week’s RCC tournament. They will open tournament play against Ralston at home.
