Halloween is a beloved holiday for many Skutt Catholic students; however, the struggle of finding a costume can be frustrating. Here are seven easy and inexpensive Halloween costume ideas to make the search a bit easier.

1. Scooby Doo Gang

Scooby Doo is a classic show filled with childhood memories, and perfect for a group of friends to dress up as. To be any member of the Scooby gang all you have to do is buy a solid colored shirt and find some pants or a skirt already in your closet. For extra flair, make someone’s car the Mystery Machine and find a Scooby Doo stuffed animal.

2. Pineapple or Strawberry

When you’re in a scramble and have little time to come up with a cute and creative Halloween costume, this is the one for you. All you have to do is find a yellow, pink, or red shirt and draw strawberry seeds or the texture of pineapple onto the shirt. Then, use green paper to make a strawberry or pineapple stem to complete the costume. Feel free to add sunglasses or other accessories to spice up the look.

3. Bank Robber

This costume utilizes many things that you most likely already have in your closet. For this costume, all you need is a striped shirt, black pants, and a mask. To make the costume even more accurate, add a bag with a money sign on it.

4. Tourist

5. Gumball Machine

A gumball machine is the perfect cute and colorful costume for this Halloween. Multi-colored cotton balls glued on a white shirt along with red pants or a skirt display the look. By adding a 25 cent sign you can make the costume look more obvious and detailed.

6. Emoji

One way to impress people on Halloween is by dressing up as their favorite dip. For the avocado, all you have to do is find a green shirt and paint a brown circle. Carry around a bag of tortilla chips and wear a halo to complete the “holy” guacamole look.
