Feb. 7, 2018 — Skutt Catholic students gathered in the commons to celebrate and acknowledge eight student athletes who signed their National Letters of Intent to play college sports. The students who signed were each seated at their own table with their parents and were dressed in their future school apparel.

Senior Jackson Gordon signed with Northwest Missouri State University to play baseball. “My coaches at Skutt have done a great job of developing me as an athlete, but they’ve done an even better job developing me as as a person. They coach me on how to be a better player on the field and on how to be a better person off the field,” said Jackson Gordon.

Jake Archer signed with the University of Nebraska Lincoln to play football.

There were also many students who signed with a school to play soccer such as: Bella Gonzalez for the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kalen Keegan with Hastings College, Emilie Krupa with the College of Saint Mary, Brinlee Whitaker with Iowa State University, and Chloe Behrens with the University of Northern Iowa. Brady Foral also signed with Creighton University to play soccer.

The SkyHawk community is proud of its student athletes and wishes them the best in their upcoming years.
