Nov. 30, 2017 — Dundee Theater is finally reopening after its closing in 2013. The theater has been bought by the nonprofit organization Film Streams, which raised $7 million to restore the theater.

They not only refurbished the 300-seat auditorium but added a separate 25-seat microcinema and a new restaurant. The new look perfectly melds the spirit of an Omaha staple with state-of-the-art technology.

The 92-year-old theater is beloved by many, so this is certainly a welcome addition to the Omaha theater scene.

Starting tomorrow the theater will be playing the documentaries “Jane” and “Ex Libris: The New York Public Library.” Showtimes for “Jane” are 4:45 p.m., 7:10 p.m. and 9:35 p.m., while the showtimes for “Ex Libris: The New York Public Library” are 4:15 p.m. and 8:05 p.m.

These two documentaries will continue playing throughout the week, so be sure to stop by and check out the new and improved Dundee Theater.
